Nigerian dancer and entertainer Poco Lee has reportedly regained his freedom in the United Kingdom, with social media influencer Peller claiming that the woman who brought the case against him has withdrawn her complaint.

Peller made the claim during a livestream while responding to questions from viewers about Poco Lee’s reported detention in the UK.

“Yes o guys, Poco Lee is out. They talk say that girl that sue Poco Lee say the girl e run away from the case, say e leave the case. God go bless the girl, na God go bless am, is a good person,” Peller said.

He further claimed that the woman’s decision to stop pursuing the case resulted in Poco Lee’s release.

“The girl that make Poco Lee go to prison, the girl comot the case, UK lawyer con leave Poco Lee,” Peller added.

The reported development comes weeks after he was said to have been placed on remand in the UK following allegations of sexual offences.

Peller’s latest comments have sparked renewed interest among his fans, particularly because the dancer had been expected to appear before Snaresbrook Crown Court in September.

Several reports subsequently circulated online claiming that he had been released and that the complainant had stopped pursuing the case.

However, the circumstances surrounding his reported release remain unclear.

UK prosecutors say the case is still active

Despite the claims circulating online, the UK Crown Prosecution Service has confirmed that the case involving Poco Lee remains active.

The CPS said Poco Lee, whose real name is Iweh Pascal Odinaka, is still scheduled to appear before Snaresbrook Crown Court on September 15, 2026, for a Plea and Trial Preparation Hearing (PTPH).

“This case is still live, and Odinaka is still set to appear for a PTPH at Snaresbrook Crown Court on 15 September 2026,” the CPS Press Office said.

The clarification means that Peller’s claim that the case has been dropped has not been independently confirmed by UK prosecutors.

The CPS also did not confirm whether Poco Lee is currently in custody, has been released on bail or is otherwise subject to court conditions.

What is the September 15 hearing?

The September 15 proceeding is a Plea and Trial Preparation Hearing.

A PTPH is a pre-trial hearing where matters concerning the defendant’s plea and preparations for a possible trial are considered.

It is not the trial itself.

The continued listing of the hearing therefore indicates that the legal proceedings remain active despite reports that the complainant may have withdrawn from the matter.

Poco Lee’s legal situation remains unresolved

His reported release should not be interpreted as a dismissal of the allegations or a finding that he committed an offence.

Likewise, Peller’s claim about the complainant withdrawing the case has not been confirmed by the CPS.

The court has also placed a reporting restriction on the proceedings to protect the complainant’s identity.

He has not been convicted of any offence and remains legally presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.

Fans await official clarification

The conflicting reports have left fans waiting for clearer information about Poco Lee’s current status.

While Peller and other social media figures have claimed that the dancer is now free, the CPS has only confirmed that the case remains active and that the September 15 hearing is still scheduled.

Further clarification from Poco Lee’s legal representatives, the court or UK prosecutors could establish whether he has been released on bail and explain what happens next in the proceedings.

For now, the confirmed position is that the UK case remains live, while Peller’s claim about Poco Lee’s release and the alleged withdrawal of the complaint has not been fully verified.
