British television personality Katie Price has reportedly ended her eight-month marriage to Lee Andrews after allegedly discovering that a cryptocurrency wallet he claimed contained millions of pounds held just £2.22.
Price, 48, is said to have consulted a London divorce lawyer after becoming increasingly concerned about claims surrounding her husband’s wealth and background. According to reports, the discovery of the near-empty crypto account became the final straw in a relationship that had already been surrounded by controversy.
Sources quoted by The Sun claimed that Andrews had previously told Price he had about $50 million (£37 million) in cryptocurrency and had even promised her access to some of the money.
However, a financial expert who reportedly accessed the wallet using a recovery phrase provided by Andrews allegedly found only around $3, equivalent to £2.22.

According to reports, Price confronted Andrews through WhatsApp after the discovery.
She is said to have told him that she felt she had been deceived and questioned why he had allegedly lied about his identity and finances.
A source also claimed that Price told a friend: “I have come to my senses — Lee has lied and lied and lied. I am sick of it. It is over.”
The same source reportedly said the marriage was finished and that Price had no intention of travelling to Dubai to visit Andrews again.
The reported split follows months of uncertainty surrounding the couple’s relationship, with Andrews currently detained in Dubai.
Marriage surrounded by controversy
Price and Andrews held a wedding ceremony in Dubai in January 2026, although reports stated that the initial ceremony was not legally binding.
Their marriage was subsequently registered in Abu Dhabi on February 17, according to reports.
The relationship attracted significant public attention because of the speed with which the couple became involved. The pair reportedly met shortly before becoming engaged and married only weeks later.
Since then, Andrews has faced a series of allegations from former associates and partners, including claims relating to his finances, professional background and business dealings.
Andrews has denied allegations of wrongdoing and has maintained his innocence.
Claims about his wealth questioned
Among the issues surrounding Andrews have been claims about his financial status.
He reportedly presented himself as a wealthy businessman and claimed to have substantial cryptocurrency holdings.
However, the reported discovery of the £2.22 balance has raised fresh questions about those claims.
A source quoted by The Sun alleged that Andrews never possessed the $50 million fortune he had described to Price.
The source further claimed that the largest balance identified in the account was approximately $14,490 (£10,720) in March, with the money allegedly transferred out on the same day.
These claims have not been independently established, and Andrews has continued to deny accusations against him.
AI images and professional claims
The controversy surrounding Andrews has also included allegations that artificial intelligence-generated images were used to create the impression that he had connections with celebrities and influential people.
Reports have also questioned some of his claims about his professional background.
Among them was an alleged claim that he held an engineering PhD from Cambridge University. Reports stated that the university had no record matching the claim.
Andrews was also reported to have claimed connections with high-profile figures and businesses, allegations that have subsequently attracted scrutiny.
Andrews remains in Dubai detention
The situation became more complicated after Andrews reportedly disappeared for several days in June.
Price subsequently became involved in efforts to locate him and reportedly launched a missing-person appeal.
Andrews later claimed that he had been kidnapped at gunpoint and taken to a secret location. However, reports subsequently said he had been detained in Dubai.
The Standard previously reported that Andrews was facing a substantial amount to secure his release from Al-Awir Central Prison after being arrested amid allegations of fraud and other legal disputes.
He has reportedly continued communicating with Price and assuring her that he would soon be released.
Katie Price considers her next move
Price had continued to wear her wedding ring in public as recently as Manchester Pride, but subsequent reports suggested that she had removed it.
She is now reportedly seeking legal advice about formally ending the marriage and is said to have no plans to travel to Dubai to visit Andrews.
Sources also claim that Price is concerned about protecting her finances and does not want to become responsible for Andrews’ debts or financial problems.
There have even been reports that she may eventually tell the story of her experience in a documentary-style project.
For now, the reported discovery of the cryptocurrency account appears to have marked a decisive turning point.
