When you have finally gotten your answer as a positive, depending on the preference of your partner, you can plan to get a ring much later, seeing that some women accept proposals but aren’t too happy with the choice of the ring.
Luckily for you, if your partner doesn’t care that much, you can later get a significant gift much later, that doesn’t have to be a ring, but can also be presented as a symbol to seal the commitment such as a wristwatch, or any other item that your partner would cherish.
Overall, this should be done at discretion, most especially, if your partner takes a proposal with a ring very seriously.
