Nigerian social media personality and self-acclaimed relationship expert Blessing CEO has finally spoken publicly following her recent arraignment by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over an alleged N36 million fraud case.
The controversial influencer, known for her outspoken views on relationships and social issues, shared a brief but emotional message on social media weeks after appearing before the Federal High Court in Lagos.
Her post has since generated mixed reactions online, with supporters expressing hope for a positive outcome while critics continue to debate the allegations against her.
Blessing CEO, whose real name is Blessing Okoro, came under legal scrutiny after the Lagos Zonal Directorate 1 of the EFCC arraigned her before Justice D.I. Dipeolu of the Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos.
According to the anti-graft agency, she is facing a two-count charge involving alleged obtaining by false pretence and the alleged misappropriation of N36 million.

The EFCC alleged that the funds were obtained from Mrs. Ifeyinwa Nonye Okoye between July 14 and July 17, 2024.
According to the commission, the money was allegedly collected under the representation that it was meant for the lease of a six-bedroom detached duplex located on Tunbosun Osobu Street, off Kuboye Road, Lekki, Lagos State.
Investigators claimed that the representation made to the complainant was false and violated provisions of the Advance Fee Fraud and Other Fraud Related Offences Act, 2006.
The anti-corruption agency also alleged that the money was later converted for personal use, an act it says contravenes provisions of Nigeria’s Criminal Code.
The case quickly attracted public attention due to Blessing CEO’s popularity on social media and her history of being involved in high-profile controversies.
During the court proceedings, her legal team disclosed that efforts had been made to resolve part of the dispute.
Defence counsel P.I. Nwafor informed the court that N24 million out of the disputed N36 million had already been refunded to the complainant.
The lawyer further requested a short adjournment to allow both parties time to discuss the outstanding balance.
According to the defence, the complainant had indicated a willingness to seek a resolution if the remaining amount was paid.
However, the EFCC maintained that any private settlement between the parties would not affect the criminal proceedings before the court.
Representing the commission, prosecuting counsel S.I. Suleiman emphasized that the Federal Government of Nigeria remains the complainant in the case.
He argued that discussions between private parties should not prevent the court from proceeding with the arraignment process.
Justice D.I. Dipeolu agreed with that position and ruled that private negotiations would not interfere with judicial proceedings.
The judge stated that discussions between the defendant and the complainant could continue independently while the legal process moves forward.
As a result, the matter remains before the Federal High Court and proceedings are expected to continue in accordance with the law.
Several weeks after the court appearance, Blessing CEO returned to social media with a short message that many interpreted as a plea for support and encouragement.
In a post shared on her Instagram page, she wrote:
“Keep me in your prayers. It will end in praise.”
The brief statement immediately attracted attention from followers and sparked conversations across social media platforms.
Supporters flooded the comment section with prayers and messages of encouragement, expressing confidence that she would overcome the challenges she is currently facing.
Others urged patience and reminded the public that the legal process should be allowed to take its course before conclusions are drawn.
The case has once again highlighted the importance of due process and the principle that every defendant remains innocent until proven guilty by a competent court of law.
Legal experts have also noted that arraignment does not amount to conviction, as it simply marks the formal stage where charges are presented before a defendant.
For now, the matter remains at the judicial stage, and future court proceedings are expected to determine the outcome of the allegations.

The EFCC, which is responsible for investigating and prosecuting financial crimes in Nigeria, continues to pursue cases involving advance fee fraud, money laundering, cybercrime, and other financial offences.
As developments unfold, many Nigerians will be watching closely to see how the legal process progresses and what eventual decision the court reaches regarding the allegations against Blessing CEO.
Until then, her recent message remains her first public reaction since the court proceedings began, offering a glimpse into her state of mind as she navigates one of the most challenging periods of her public life.
