President Muhammadu Buhari earlier this Monday 26th August, arrived Haneda Airport in Yokohama Japan for the 7th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD7) billed to hold from 28th August to August 30th.
Special adviser to the president on media and publicity Mr Femi Adesina reported that this is the second TICAD Conference President Buhari is attending,having attended TICAD6 in Nairobi Kenya in August 2016.
The President was accompanied on this trip by Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State, Minister of foreign affairs Geoffrey Onyeama and Nigerian Ambassador to Japan,Amb.Mohammed Gana Yisa.
With the theme “Aftica and Yokohama Sharing Passion For the Future” the opening session of TICAD7 will be performed by the Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
Recall that the Vanguard news had earlier reported that the IPOB Leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu had earlier written to the emperor of Japan on President Buhari’s visit.
