President Muhammadu Buhari has placed limits on Number of International travels by Ministers and delegates.
This statement was issued by the office of the secretary of the Federal government today Wednesday and all officers of the government are expected to comply with immediate effect.
Those affected by this new rule are ministers,Chief executive officers of government agencies and directors.
The statement released portrayed the fact that the size of each delegate must be reduced to four. The minister at the head of the delegation,relevant directors and one ministerial aide. Every other delegation below ministerial level should be reduced to three.
The government has taken various criticisms thrown at it and seriously warned public office holders to restrict all government funded trips to Official purposes and for trips that are beneficial to the Nation.
Also payment of estacode on such travels have also been reviewed. The government has asked such public office holder that public funds will be expended on only the number of days of the event.
In line with this change, the president also approved that class of air travel will have ministers,permanent secretaries,special advisers, senior special advisers to the president,and CEOs of Parastatals and agencies continue to fly Business class while the rest fly economy Class.
