American singer Ne-Yo is facing a lawsuit after a woman who was delivering a package to his home in Georgia allegedly suffered injuries following an attack by the singer’s dog.

The lawsuit, filed in Fulton County Court in June, claims that Dominique Bridgett was attacked while making a delivery to Ne-Yo’s home in Alpharetta, an Atlanta suburb, in July 2025.

Bridgett is seeking damages from the singer, accusing him of negligence and claiming that the incident caused physical injuries, pain and emotional distress.

1. Ne-Yo faces lawsuit over alleged dog attack

According to the lawsuit, Bridgett was delivering a package to Ne-Yo’s property when she was allegedly attacked by one of his dogs.

The filing claims that the animal was not properly restrained at the time of the incident.

Bridgett alleges that the circumstances surrounding the attack were particularly concerning because the dog allegedly had a history of aggressive behaviour toward people.

The lawsuit will now require the allegations to be addressed through the legal process.

Ne-Yo has not been publicly found liable in this case, and the allegations contained in the lawsuit have yet to be determined by a court.

2. Delivery woman claims she suffered injuries

Bridgett claims the alleged attack resulted in physical injuries that required medical attention.

She also says the incident caused significant pain and emotional distress.

According to the lawsuit, her medical expenses have already exceeded $9,000.

The amount represents medical costs she says she has incurred following the alleged incident.

Her legal claim seeks compensation for damages associated with the reported injuries and their consequences.

3. Lawsuit accuses Ne-Yo of negligence

One of the central allegations in the case is negligence.

Bridgett’s lawsuit reportedly argues that the dog should have been properly restrained while she was entering the property to make a delivery.

The complaint also reportedly raises concerns about the animal’s alleged previous behaviour.

Dog owners can face legal consequences when animals injure other people, although the specific rules and potential liability vary depending on the circumstances and applicable state law.

In this case, a court will ultimately determine whether Ne-Yo bears legal responsibility for the alleged incident.

4. Incident reportedly happened in July 2025

The alleged attack took place more than a year before the lawsuit became public.

According to the legal claim, Bridgett was carrying out her delivery duties at Ne-Yo’s Alpharetta property in July 2025 when the incident occurred.

The delay between the alleged incident and the filing of the lawsuit does not, by itself, establish the validity of either side’s claims.

Details surrounding what happened immediately before and after the alleged attack are expected to be examined as the case progresses.

5. Bridgett is seeking financial compensation

The lawsuit reportedly seeks an unspecified amount in damages.

Bridgett says she has already spent more than $9,000 on medical treatment.

She may also be seeking compensation connected to pain, emotional distress and other losses allegedly resulting from the incident.

The final amount, if any, would depend on the outcome of the legal proceedings and any evidence presented by both sides.

6. Ne-Yo has not publicly commented

Ne-Yo’s representative has not publicly commented on the lawsuit, according to the information available.

The singer has not publicly accepted responsibility for the alleged incident.

As with any civil lawsuit, the allegations made in a complaint are claims rather than established facts until they are proven or otherwise resolved through the legal process.

The case therefore remains ongoing.

7. Case comes after separate Chris Brown lawsuit

The lawsuit involving Ne-Yo comes shortly after another high-profile legal case involving a celebrity and an alleged dog attack.

Singer Chris Brown was ordered to pay nearly $13 million after a jury found him liable in a separate case involving an alleged attack on a housekeeper.

The two cases are separate and involve different circumstances.

Nevertheless, the similarity has drawn attention because both involve prominent musicians facing legal claims connected to dogs allegedly injuring other people.

What happens next?

The legal proceedings involving Ne-Yo are expected to determine whether the singer can be held responsible for the alleged injuries and, if so, what compensation may be appropriate.

For now, Bridgett’s allegations remain unproven, while Ne-Yo has not publicly commented on the case.

The lawsuit nevertheless places another legal issue in the spotlight for a major music star, with the alleged attack and the circumstances surrounding the animal’s handling likely to be central to the dispute.

Readers should await further court filings or statements from the parties for confirmation of how the case develops.
