1. Mercy Eke turns 36
Mercy Eke, whose full name is Chinenyenwa Mercy Eke, turned 36 on September 29, 2026.
The BBNaija Pepper Dem winner also shared glamorous birthday photos online, describing the new chapter as another year of being “that girl.” Several celebrities, including Destiny Etiko, Ayo Makun, Chizzy Alichi and Mercy Aigbe, joined fans in celebrating her birthday.
Mercy’s birthday has become an annual moment of interest for her fans, particularly because she has often marked the occasion with major personal milestones.
2. She reportedly bought herself a G-Wagon
The biggest highlight of this year’s celebration was the luxury Mercedes-Benz G-Class, popularly known as the G-Wagon.
Mercy showed off the vehicle on social media, presenting it as her birthday gift to herself.
A current entertainment report described the vehicle as a 2027 G-Wagon and placed its reported value at about ₦680 million. However, that figure has not been independently confirmed by Mercy Eke, so it is best treated as a reported estimate rather than a verified purchase price.
3. Her birthday caption caught attention
Rather than posting a lengthy message, Mercy kept her caption short:
“NEW AGE, NEW KEYS, SAME ME!”
The statement appeared to celebrate both her birthday and the arrival of her new luxury vehicle.
The phrase “new keys” immediately drew attention because it suggests the birthday celebration was tied directly to a new possession.
4. Luxury purchases have featured in her birthday celebrations
Mercy’s latest birthday surprise comes a year after she announced another major property milestone.
In September 2025, the reality star announced that she had purchased a house in Ikoyi, Lagos, referring to herself as the new “Ikoyi landlady.”
In previous years, she has also made headlines for major birthday-related purchases and celebrations, reinforcing her reputation for marking personal milestones with significant lifestyle announcements.
5. Mercy Eke continues to build her post-BBNaija brand
Since winning the fourth season of Big Brother Naija in 2019, Mercy has expanded her public profile beyond reality television.
She is known as an entrepreneur, actress, media personality and influencer, and has remained one of the most recognisable former BBNaija housemates.
Her latest birthday celebration therefore combines two parts of her public image: her glamorous lifestyle and her business-focused persona.
For Mercy Eke, turning 36 has come with a new set of keys — and her message suggests she intends to enter the new year of her life with the same confidence that has characterised her journey since leaving the BBNaija house.
As fans continue to celebrate her birthday online, the G-Wagon has become the major talking point of her 36th birthday celebration.
