Nigerian activist Harrison Gwamnishu and his team have successfully secured the release of TikTok influencer Nickie Da Barbie from Kirikiri Prison, where she had been detained for two weeks.
Nickie Da Barbie, whose real name is Precious Kingsley, was arrested following allegations that she damaged property worth over three million Naira at the home of Nigerian musician Skiibii. This incident led to her arraignment and subsequent imprisonment.
The case gained significant attention thanks to controversial critic VeryDarkMan, who highlighted Nickie’s legal troubles and voiced his support for her.
Despite initial delays in providing her with legal assistance, Gwamnishu’s involvement was crucial in facilitating her release. His actions demonstrate his ongoing commitment to social justice and advocacy.
