Tributes flowed freely as Igbo dignitaries gathered at the Valedrome of the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja over the weekend to bid farewell to the esteemed former Anambra State governor, Dr. Chukwuemeka Ezeife.
The event drew a distinguished crowd from various spheres of Igbo society, including former governors, ministers, lawmakers, and Igbo leaders from across the northern states and Abuja.
Amidst the gathering, heartfelt eulogies were shared, highlighting Dr. Ezeife’s remarkable legacy and contributions to the Igbo community.
Speakers called upon Igbo leaders to emulate his exemplary life, both as a tribute to him and as a guide for future generations. Dr. Okwesilieze Nwodo, former governor of Enugu State and chairman of the Ezeife National Burial Committee, expressed deep regret at the timing of Dr. Ezeife’s passing.
He stressed the importance of honoring Dr. Ezeife’s memory by embodying the values of courage and simplicity that defined his life.
