Nigerian celebrity barman and businessman Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chiefpriest, has publicly declared his readiness to undergo a DNA test in what could become the final chapter of a paternity controversy that has dominated social media discussions for years.

The celebrity entrepreneur made the announcement after renewed public pressure surrounding allegations made by Kenyan woman Hellen Ati, who has consistently claimed that Chiefpriest is the biological father of her son.

The dispute, which first surfaced publicly in 2023, has remained one of the most talked-about celebrity controversies across Nigeria and Kenya. Over the years, both parties have maintained opposing positions, with Ati insisting that Chiefpriest fathered her child while the businessman repeatedly denied the allegations.

The latest development came after an emotional video involving Hellen Ati gained widespread attention online. In the clip, she appealed for assistance while discussing the difficulties she has faced raising her son alone.

According to Ati, the child has experienced health challenges that have required ongoing medical attention. She revealed that she had spent significant resources caring for him and called on Chiefpriest to take responsibility if a DNA test confirms that he is the father.

The video quickly generated reactions across social media platforms, with many users urging both parties to finally settle the matter through scientific testing rather than continuing the dispute online.

As discussions intensified, Cubana Chiefpriest responded through Instagram comments, revealing that he was prepared to participate in a DNA test publicly.

His proposal immediately attracted attention because it marked one of the strongest public indications that he was willing to directly address the allegations.

According to the businessman, he would be willing to undergo the test on live television if Hellen Ati and the child were brought to the venue.

His statement suggested that he sees a public DNA examination as the most transparent way to determine the truth and end years of speculation.

The announcement sparked mixed reactions online.

Some supporters praised Chiefpriest for finally expressing readiness to participate in the test, arguing that it could provide closure for everyone involved.

Others questioned why the process had taken so long, noting that a DNA test could have resolved the matter years ago.

Several social media users argued that the prolonged dispute had negatively affected the reputation of all parties involved and generated unnecessary public tension.

In response to some of the criticism, Chiefpriest maintained that he would not personally spend money investigating allegations made against him online.

He insisted that individuals making such claims should present evidence directly rather than relying on social media campaigns.

The celebrity businessman further argued that anyone claiming he fathered a child should bring the child forward for verification instead of continuously making accusations online.

The controversy dates back to allegations made by Hellen Ati in 2023.

According to her account, she became pregnant after a brief encounter with Chiefpriest in Lagos during 2022.

She has repeatedly stated that she has been solely responsible for raising their alleged child since birth and has continuously requested a DNA test to establish paternity.

Ati has also claimed that shortly after the child’s birth in January 2023, Chiefpriest provided financial assistance amounting to approximately N300,000 through instalment payments.

She alleged that the support was connected to complications she experienced after childbirth.

However, despite these claims, Chiefpriest has never publicly accepted responsibility for the child.

Throughout the dispute, he has consistently denied knowing Ati personally or having any romantic relationship with her.

The businessman has maintained that the allegations are false and intended to damage both his marriage and public image.

The matter gained even greater attention in January 2025 during a public online disagreement involving Chiefpriest and Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Burna Boy.

During the feud, Burna Boy publicly supported Hellen Ati’s call for a DNA test and reportedly offered assistance that could help facilitate her travel to Nigeria.

The proposed arrangement ultimately failed to materialise, leaving the issue unresolved and allowing public speculation to continue.

Now, with Chiefpriest openly declaring his willingness to undergo testing in a public setting, many observers believe the dispute could finally be approaching a resolution.

A scientifically verified DNA result would provide definitive answers regarding the child’s paternity and potentially bring an end to years of controversy.

Whether Hellen Ati accepts the proposal remains uncertain.

Many social media users have already begun calling on both parties to cooperate fully in arranging the process, arguing that the interests of the child should remain the highest priority.

For now, attention remains focused on what happens next.

The possibility of a live televised DNA test has generated widespread interest, with supporters and critics eagerly waiting to see whether both sides will move forward with the arrangement.

If the test eventually takes place, it could finally provide clarity in one of the most discussed celebrity paternity disputes in recent Nigerian entertainment history and bring closure to a story that has remained unresolved for several years.
