1. Broda Shaggi shares emotional footage from the hospital
In the video shared on his Instagram page, Broda Shaggi appeared visibly emotional as he revisited the incident that kept him away from his usual online activities for an extended period.
The footage showed him being transported on a stretcher, with visible signs of a gunshot injury and bloodstains.
Accompanying the video, the comedian referred to the experience as one he wished had never happened.
He also indicated that he intended to share more details about the incident with the public on Wednesday, October 21.
His decision to release the footage without immediately explaining every detail has left many followers waiting for his full account.
The video provides a glimpse into the ordeal, but the circumstances that led to the shooting and the complete sequence of events have not yet been publicly established by his latest post.
2. The reported shooting happened in March
Reports of the incident first circulated in March 2026, when Broda Shaggi was said to have sustained a gunshot injury while filming around Sango-Ota Bridge in Ogun State.
The news raised concerns among fans, particularly because the comedian subsequently became less visible on social media.
According to media reports, he was initially taken to a private hospital in the Alakuko area of Lagos before reportedly being transferred to another medical facility for further treatment.
However, the details surrounding what led to the shooting have not been fully clarified in the information publicly available.
Broda Shaggi’s latest post confirms that the experience was deeply distressing for him, but further details about the circumstances are expected to come from his own account.
3. His prolonged absence sparked concern among fans
Broda Shaggi’s reduced social media activity prompted questions from followers who were accustomed to seeing his comedy skits, acting content and other updates.
The entertainer has built a substantial audience through his distinctive comedy character, energetic performances and appearances in Nigerian entertainment productions.
His absence therefore became a subject of discussion, particularly after reports of the shooting circulated online.
In August, he reportedly used his WhatsApp channel to thank supporters who had continued to check on him during his absence. He also indicated that he was not ready to disclose everything he had experienced.
That message suggested he wanted to speak about the situation in his own time rather than respond immediately to public speculation.
His latest video has now renewed conversations about the incident and his experience during the months that followed.
4. Fans and celebrities welcome his latest update
Broda Shaggi’s emotional post has attracted attention from fans and colleagues in the entertainment industry, many of whom have expressed relief and support.
Media personality Toke Makinwa was among those reported to have welcomed his return, while actress Iyabo Ojo also offered words of encouragement.
Supporters have continued to share prayers and messages, reflecting the concern generated by the earlier reports and his subsequent absence from regular online activity.
For many followers, the latest video represents an opportunity to hear directly from the entertainer rather than rely solely on speculation or second-hand reports.
Nevertheless, the full circumstances of the incident remain important, and further details should be attributed to Broda Shaggi or other reliable sources when they become available.
5. Broda Shaggi promises to tell his story
The most significant development is the comedian’s indication that he intends to give a fuller account of what happened.
In his post, he said he would share his story on Wednesday, October 21, 2026.
That announcement has raised expectations among fans who want to understand what happened on the night of March 9, why he was reportedly injured and how the experience affected him.
For now, Broda Shaggi has shared footage of the medical emergency and a brief reflection on how painful the experience was, without providing a complete explanation of the circumstances.
His promised account may offer further context, although any details will need to be assessed against available evidence and official information.
Broda Shaggi remains one of Nigeria’s recognisable online comedy personalities, and his latest post has once again placed his well-being and career in the public conversation.
As fans await his next update, the focus remains on his account of the incident and the details he chooses to share about the months that followed.
