Controversial Nigerian relationship influencer Blessing CEO has confirmed the death of her son while distancing herself from a public fundraising campaign launched in her name.

Blessing CEO, whose real name is Blessing Nkiruka Okoro, reportedly lost her second son, Bryan, while she remained in custody. The development was initially announced publicly by Amira Agiye, CEO of the Isaamira Love Foundation, who appealed to Nigerians for financial assistance for the social media personality.

However, Blessing has now made it clear that she did not authorise anyone to raise money on her behalf.

Blessing CEO Confirms Son’s Death

The news surrounding Blessing CEO’s family emerged on Friday after Amira Agiye released a video announcing that the relationship influencer had lost her second son.

According to reports, Agiye said Blessing was still in custody and needed financial assistance to meet her bail requirements and settle other financial obligations.

The appeal reportedly sought a total of ₦56 million, with ₦20 million said to be required for bail-related obligations and another ₦36 million reportedly linked to debts.

Agiye claimed that she was making the appeal with Blessing’s consent.

The development quickly attracted attention online because Blessing has remained in custody and could not personally address the reports at the time.

Blessing Denies Authorising Fundraising

The situation took a different turn after actress Doris Ogala shared a recording of a phone conversation with Blessing.

In the conversation, Blessing confirmed that her son had died but strongly denied giving anyone permission to solicit money on her behalf.

She also questioned why someone else would announce the death of her son instead of allowing her to make the announcement herself.

“I didn’t give anybody consent,” Blessing said in the recorded conversation. “And I think I’m in the best position to break the news of my son’s death, not an entire stranger.”

Her comments appear to directly contradict the earlier claim that the fundraising appeal had been made with her authorisation.

Reports on the incident have therefore presented two conflicting accounts: Agiye said she was acting with Blessing’s consent, while Blessing says she did not authorise the fundraising campaign.

Doris Ogala Warns Those Who Donated

Following her conversation with Blessing, Doris Ogala also warned people who may have donated money through the appeal.

Ogala alleged that Blessing was not aware of the fundraising effort and advised anyone who had donated to seek a refund.

She also disputed claims that Blessing was personally soliciting ₦56 million to secure her release from custody.

The actress said she was aware that Blessing was progressing with her bail process but maintained that the fundraising claims did not come from Blessing herself.

The allegations have generated further debate online, with social media users questioning how the fundraising campaign began and whether donated funds were actually authorised by Blessing.

Blessing Says She Should Announce Her Son’s Death

Beyond the fundraising controversy, Blessing’s comments highlighted the personal nature of the tragedy.

In the phone conversation, she acknowledged the death of Bryan and indicated that she wanted to be the person to publicly announce the loss.

Earlier reports had quoted Blessing speaking about her son while in custody, describing Bryan as full of life and expressing hope that she would be released so she could return home and pay her respects.

The circumstances have made the loss particularly difficult because Blessing has been unable to handle the situation outside custody herself.

For now, her confirmation establishes that she has acknowledged the death of her son, while the separate fundraising campaign remains disputed.

A Tragic Development Amid Legal Troubles

Blessing CEO has also been dealing with an ongoing legal case while in custody.

Reports have linked her continued detention to a property-fraud case and difficulties meeting previously imposed bail conditions.

The death of Blessing CEO son has now added another deeply personal development to an already difficult period.

As reactions continue online, the central issue surrounding the fundraising appeal remains whether the campaign was authorised by Blessing. Her own reported statement is clear that she did not give anyone permission to solicit funds in her name.

The tragedy has also prompted renewed conversations about privacy, consent and the handling of sensitive family news involving public figures.

For Blessing CEO, however, the immediate issue is the loss of her son and her desire to personally acknowledge and mourn him.

The conflicting statements over the fundraising campaign are likely to continue attracting attention, but the reported confirmation of Bryan’s death has shifted the focus back to the family’s loss and the circumstances surrounding Blessing’s inability to be with them.
