Moses Eskor, who also serves as the Chairman of the Akwa-Cross Chapter of the Directors’ Guild of Nigeria (DGN), explained that Abigail’s family couldn’t afford the necessary sacrifice to the river goddess, which amounted to N150,000, nor the ambulance to transport her body home.
Abigail, aged 24, tragically lost her life in the Anam boat mishap alongside popular actor Junior Pope and three other crew members.
Despite Eskor’s efforts to raise funds, which totaled N310,000, a significant portion was used for transportation expenses amounting to N200,000 for her parents.
The inability to cover the costs led to her burial at the riverbank. Eskor has since removed the posts following criticism.
