EMPOWERED WIFE VERSUS POOR WIFE

Nkoli  walked down the aisle with her Prince Charming  she was a successful event planner at 34. A classy one at that. No event went successfully  without Nkoli’ s signature on it. Her own wedding was awesome, the cream de la cream guest were treated to a sumptuous cuisine. The hall decoration was out of this world. Her groom,Dozie grinned from ear to ear. He was so excited.Her wedding and honey moon was over and years passed by,Nkoli was yet to have a baby.Dozie  an Engineer with a private company was drained financially, with all the cost of looking for a child. He was tensed at the option of IVF which was advised to them by a doctor friend.Nkoli seeing how financially drained her husband was decided to pick the bill. It was quite expensive.Nkoli was up to the task, the IVF was successful and she was blessed with triplets.

THE EMPOWERED WIFE
Nkoli was loved by her in-laws. She spoilt them with cash and gift.She is the EMPOWERED wife who takes care of her mother in law. She never gets called upon like the rest of her co wives who depend on their husband’s meagre income to come home all the time to partake in chores for festivities. In fact Nkoli is being consulted when important decisions are being taken in the family. If she was going to be  out Of the country all consultations would wait until her return.
THE POOR WIFE
This is the wife who has no source of income aside the husband’s meagre income. She lives off the little  income her husband drops on the  table.This is the wife who is expected to come home and partake in chores for festivities such as cooking, cleaning, washing  Etc. The mother inlaw looks with disdain as such wife, especially if she can’t afford common family asoebi. Their  husbands don’t  make matters easier as they fail to protect their wives. May be because they lack self esteem or the will power to stand up to their mothers or relatives Nkoli’ s co wives watched with envy, how their mother in law dotes on her. Before such festivities when the wives all ought to be home, Nkoli who is everly busy would send some cash down, no matter how small, she would buy a beautiful lace for her mother inlaw and sweet talk her into having a glam team make her up for the D day. All these won’t cost her a fortune but its worth it. Nkoli would arrive on the day of the occasion to the envy of her co wives

Any woman who opens her purse and doles out cash, be it her own money or her  husband’s money is  an EMPOWERED WIFE. Which would you rather be……. Young Ladies TAKE NOTE!!!
