In all the controversy surrounding the death of Mohbad, the National Drug and Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has spoken up, saying that the late singer did not die in their custody.
On Tuesday, after the death of Mohbad, a video emerged where the singer was on a hospital bed crying painfully. Some fans took interest and accused NDLEA for poisoning him during the period they arrested him.
Also in the video, Mohbad mentioned that among the people that NDLEA arrested, he was the only one who was given a white substance to drink and was beaten then told to go home.
But NDLEA spokesman, Femi Babafemi claimed that they never arrested nor detained him. He also mentioned that Mohbad was not among the Marlian Music acts that was arrested in 2022, hence he was never in their custody nor poisoned by the NDLEA.
