During a Ramadan dinner with members of the federal judiciary, led by Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) Olukayode Ariwoola, President Bola Tinubu emphasized the need to treat individuals involved in despicable crimes like kidnapping as terrorists.
He reiterated the government’s commitment to combating banditry, stating that those who engage in kidnapping are cowards, unable to face the strength of the Nigerian Armed Forces.
In his words:
”We must treat kidnappers as terrorists. They are cowardly. They have been degraded. They look for soft targets. They go to schools kidnap children and cause disaffection. We must treat them equally as terrorists in order to get rid of them, and I promise you we will get rid of them,”
