Nigeria clinched the gold medal in the 4x400m Mixed Relay event at the ongoing African Games in Ghana.
Athlete Omolara Ogunmakinju’s remarkable performance on the anchor leg was the highlight, as she surged ahead in the final 30 meters, overtaking Botswana and securing the gold for Nigeria in a thrilling finish.
Despite setting a new national record of 3:13.99, Botswana had to settle for the silver medal.
