The Adamawa State Police Command apprehended Roland Raymond, aged 32 and a resident of Detti village in Ganye LGA, on charges of criminal intimidation linked to kidnapping.
This arrest stemmed from a report filed by Alhaji Yahya Congo and Abraham Paul, who alleged that Raymond had contacted them by phone, threatening to kidnap them unless they paid him 600,000 Naira.
Promptly responding to the complaints, the police in Ganye Division, in collaboration with local hunters, acted swiftly to apprehend the suspect while he was in the process of collecting the ransom.
Confirming the arrest, the command’s spokesperson stated that Raymond would face charges in court following further investigation.
