Peter Okoye a.k.a Mr. P has expressed that Nollywood legends deserve a better lifestyle.
He opined that these legends bring joy to the screen and our lives yet their style of living is saddening.
One veteran actor, Mr. John Ikechukwu Okafor popularly known as Mr. Ibu has brought to the notice of the public his health condition. The actor posted via his Instagram account some weeks a ago, a video concerning his health and how he has been hospitalised
The actor appealed to the public for assistance as the situation is dire and may cause him to lose his limb. He mentioned that doctors have told him that if they exhaust all options and it proves abortive, they will have to amputate his limb.
While soliciting for public intervention, he made his account number available to the public.
Emphasizing on the plea, his daughter Jasmine Okafor took to the comment section and pleaded with the public to help her father through this trying time of his life. She mentioned that they had exhausted funds for this purpose, but they pray the public will intervene even if it means taking her father for treatment abroad.
Out of compassion, the singer Mr. P took to his own Instagram page and solicited with his fans to help the veteran actor.
He wrote:
“Our very own @realmribu (John Okafor) needs our help as he goes through a medical challenge. Our Nollywood legends deserve better, it is time for we the people to show him love for bringing joy to our screens all these years
I am pledging my support for him 100%. My dear colleagues, friends, family, and fans pls support him in any little way you can!
He needs our prayers and financial support in this challenging time. Praying for his speedy recovery
