Renowned comedian Seyi Law recently revealed on the podcast “The Honest Bunch” that his unwavering support for President Tinubu in the 2023 general elections came at a cost – the loss of hundreds of thousands of followers on social media.
During the candid discussion on the podcast, co-hosted by comedians Chinedu Ani Emmanuel (Nedu), Toun Cole, and Husband Material, Seyi Law acknowledged the significant decline in his follower count due to his political stance. However, he emphasized that the most crucial aspect is to ensure that one’s actions stem from the right place and are fair to those involved.
In his own words, Seyi Law stated, “I lost over 200,000 followers because of the election, which for me, is not a problem. The most important thing is that whatever you do, try as much as possible to ensure that you’re doing it from the right place. Whatever you do, are you sure that you are doing it from the right place? Is it fair to those concerned? If you’re not being fair, don’t do it.”
This revelation sheds light on the complexities and challenges individuals may face when openly expressing their political views, even in the realm of entertainment
