Seun Kuti, a Nigerian Afrobeat singer implies that the Big Brother Naija reality show should have been a platform for Nigerian youths to proffer solutions to the issues in the country.
According to Seun, the reality show provider should have geared to the goal of the programme towards improving and proffering solutions to the country’s problems rather than just an amusement show.
The controversial afrobeat singer during an interview with Spade TV Africa mentioned that the way in which the show is conducted can help Nigeria at large because there is a good number of audience who are rooting for their ideal candidate, so also it would have been for the candidate with the best solution to the different issues of the country.
He also said;
“Big Brother Naija is the way it is because of the Investment that is put in it. It was designed by certain people to be that way.
“The people that designed Big Brother could have decided that it would be a show where young people discuss the issues of the country and come up with solutions and other young people and viewers can vote on the best solution.
“That means that the people going from entertainment to solutions and national development, they’re investing in solutions for national development.”
