Nigerian footballer Sodiq Adebisi dies at the Dipo Dina International Stadium in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.
According to reports, Sodiq slumped down during a training session. The event occurred on Saturday at the filed while he was training with other players.
At the occurrence, Sodiq was rushed to a hospital by his teammates. After some medical processes on the same day, Sodiq was confirmed dead by the hospital. His body still remains at the state mortuary in Ijebu-Ode.
The state police public relations officer stated that Ganiyu Adebisi, the brother of the late football player, had gone to the Igbeba Police Division to demand that the body be buried.
“The brother came to report the incident at our Igbeba division. The family said they don’t want any investigation and that they wanted to bury the deceased according to Islamic rite,”
Ganiyu is insisting that his brother’s body be released to his family for proper burial according to the Islamic rites.
