Governor Malam Umar Namadi of Jigawa State has conveyed his belief that prayer stands as a paramount solution to the current challenges faced by Nigerians.
He expressed this sentiment during the official commencement of food item distribution to the state’s residents at Aminu Kano Triangle in Dutse.
Addressing the prevalent issues affecting the nation, the governor emphasized the significance of seeking spiritual solutions in times of difficulty. He remarked, “In times of difficulty, our faith and prayers can serve as a powerful force for positive change. I urge citizens to embrace a collective prayer effort, especially during the month of Ramadan, to navigate through these tough times.”
Governor Namadi acknowledged the ongoing practical measures implemented by both the state and federal governments to tackle economic and social concerns. The state commissioner for special duties, Auwalu Sankara, highlighted the support initiatives, including the distribution of 150,000 bags of rice, 150,000 bags of maize, and 100,000 cartons of spaghetti. He estimated that approximately 648,000 individuals would benefit from this support, aimed at alleviating the hardships arising from inflation and subsidy removal.
