Linda Ihebinike was apprehended by authorities for allegedly attempting to conduct a transaction using counterfeit Naira notes.
According to SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, the alertness of a vigilant POS operator led to the discovery of the fake currencies and subsequent arrest of Linda Ihebinike.
SP Benjamin’s report reads:
“A vigilant POS operator raised the alarm after a customer, Linda Ihebinike, attempted to transact with counterfeit N1000 notes amounting to N90,000. Investigation into the matter is currently underway.”
