The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) has issued a penalty of N200 million to Abuja Electricity Distribution Plc (AEDC) for its implementation of the new tariff across all customer categories.
Additionally, NERC has directed AEDC to reimburse customers as appropriate.
“Reimburse all customers in Bands B, C, D and E respectively that were billed above the allowed customer categories/tariff bands provided in the Order.”
