According to the two days nationwide strike memorandum that was announced by the national headquarters of the Nigerian Labour Congress NLC, members of the NLC in Bayelsa State has restrained from work on Tuesday as a sign of consent to the strike warning to the Federal Government
Whereas, some Trade Union Congress members did not adhere to the nationwide strike in the early hours of the day, since the Trade Union Congress had withdrawn from the action.
Private schools were reportedly in session all around Yenagoa while public institutions were closed.
For the banking industry, partial compliance was seen as some banks received customers while some were closed.
The NLC chairman and secretary, Barnabas Simon and John Angese, has issued a statement requesting that all employees should abide by the request and forfeit Tuesday and Wednesday for a greater course.
