Investigators from the Gombe Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested Janty Emmanuel for allegedly abusing the Nigerian currency.
She was taken into custody on Monday, May 20, 2024, following intelligence reports that identified her spraying Naira notes at a social event.
She admitted to the offense. The EFCC has stated that she will be charged to court once investigations are concluded.
Upon her arrest, Emmanuel was shown a video of herself dancing and spraying N1000 denomination Naira notes at G-Connect in Tumfure, Gombe State.
