In an interview with Mohbad’s father, he stated that he disliked Wunmi, the wife of his son Mohbad.
Speaking about his daughter in-law, Wunmi, Mohbad’s father expressed his dislike for his son’s wife. He stated that she just wanted to acquire wealth for herself and her family irrespective of Mohbad’s struggles.
He also accused the late singer’s wife of adding sleeping pills to Mohbad’s food, causing Mohbad to sleep for long whenever she wanted to commit adultery with her partners in the Marlian house.
In the interview he was asked if Wunmi’s dowry was paid traditionally as required. He admitted that the dowry was paid and that his son had married Wunmi as required traditionally.
Explaining the significance of the white cloth Wunmi threw into Mohbad’s grave, he said it meant that she had covered him and now Mohbad can no longer expose her.
Mohbad’s father also narrated how he used to have his son’s father-in-law’s number. He mentioned that occasionally he (Mohbad’s father) would call the man to tell him about the issues between the couple and Mohbad’s unwillingness to cater for him as his father, but Wunmi’s father blocked him.
He mentioned that he did his best to save his son but to no avail.
