The Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has invited the Department of Security Services to join in the investigation of the cause of the death of Ilerioluwa Aloba, well known as Mohbad.
The statement was signed and released on Tuesday by the Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso.
The statement reads:
“We are devastated by the loss of such a gifted and promising young man who thrived in a cutthroat field. May the Almighty grant his soul rest and comfort his grieving family and supporters.
The late singer and Marlian signee, Mohbad, died at the age of 27yrs. Since the demise of their son, the Aloba family has received condolences and supports from both individuals and the government.
The state government has however pleaded with the public to help the investigation team by providing all crucial evidence they may have to aid the investigation.
The government has also promised to ensure the protection of anyone who comes forward with crucial evidence or information that will help the investigation.
Going further, on Monday, the late signee’s management announced through their social media accounts a candlelight procession in memorial of the “shining light” (Mohbad).
“we appreciate the outpouring of love from Fans across the world to the ones who’ve organised events in their communities as a way to honour and pay respect to our shining light we say thank you. The candlelight procession and memorial concert for Mohbad are open to everyone. “.
