May Edochie, the embattled first wife of actor Yul Edochie, recently delivered a poignant and emotional speech at a public event, where she broke down in tears while sharing her story of resilience.
Speaking to a group of women about overcoming setbacks, May recounted her personal struggles and the challenges she faced in picking herself up after significant losses.
During her speech, May revealed that she had been managing several businesses, all of which collapsed when an unspecified event occurred, leading to a difficult period in her life. Overcome by emotions, she tearfully shared her journey:
“I did not sit and wallow in self-pity; instead, I picked myself up. I used to run multiple businesses. They all went down when…”
May’s voice faltered as she reflected on her experiences, illustrating the depth of her hardship and the strength required to move forward.
May and Yul Edochie were married for seventeen years and shared four children. Their marriage faced significant turmoil after the tragic death of their first son, Kambilichukwu, last year.
The couple’s relationship further deteriorated when Yul took actress Judy Austin as a second wife, with whom he has since welcomed two children.
