Joseph Aloba, the father of the late Nigerian musician Mohbad, has voiced his doubts regarding the paternity of Mohbad’s alleged son, Liam.
In a recent audio interview, Aloba openly expressed his belief that his wife’s concubine was involved in Mohbad’s death. He emphasized the need for a DNA test to confirm Liam’s paternity, recalling that Wunmi, Mohbad’s partner, had previously claimed Mohbad deflowered her.
Mr. Aloba questioned why Wunmi was avoiding the DNA test if she was confident in her claims. He pointed out that Liam has bow legs, a trait not present in the Aloba family, suggesting this as another reason to doubt the child’s paternity.
He urged Wunmi to identify the boy’s real father and expressed his sorrow over the loss of Mohbad, condemning those he believes were responsible for his son’s untimely death. Furthermore, He made it clear that he would not accept Liam as his grandchild, noting that Mohbad himself did not recognize Liam as his son while he was alive.
According to Mr. Joseph Aloba;
“All The names Mohbad mentioned in the petition he wrote, were involved in his de*th. I still insist that his wife’s concubine k!lled him. This is why DNA is a must.
Wunmi said my son deflowered her so why is she running away from DNA? Liam has ‘bow legs’. We don’t have bow legs in The Aloba family. She should take the boy to his father. It is so sad that these w! cked people k!Iled my son at his prime. Nigerians should please support me as I fight for Justice for my son”
However, recall that in the beginning of April 2024, Mohbad’s dad had been heard stating that even though he knew that Liam was his grandson, Wunmi should do the DNA test for Nigerians. He maintained that it was important for Wunmi to satisfy the curiosity of concerned Nigerians.”
