The debate was part of the conversations surrounding the International Day of the Boy Child, observed on May 16. The day sparked social media discussions about the perceived lack of recognition for boys compared to girls.
Daddy Shindara, a social media commentator, criticized this viewpoint, labeling it a victim mentality and questioning why men don’t take the initiative to celebrate boys themselves.
Shindara tweeted, “This victim mentality we criticize women for is exactly what you’re doing. Women celebrate themselves, who asked you not to celebrate yourselves?”
