Renowned media personality, Charles Oputa, widely known as Charly Boy, has decided to put an end to the ongoing speculation about his sexuality.
In a recent interview with reality star Uriel Oputa, Charly Boy addressed the rumors and clarified his stance.
The singer and media personality acknowledged the speculation surrounding his sexuality, admitting that he could be gay but has actively chosen not to identify as such.
He elaborated on his personal journey, revealing that while he embraces his feminine side, which he affectionately refers to as Linda, he does not identify as gay.
Charly Boy emphasized that if he were gay, he would openly advocate for gay rights. However, he stressed that his advocacy does not extend to this cause, firmly asserting his stance on the matter.
He said:
“I’ve a feminine side I called Linda. And I remember when I was doing the Charly Boy show, I had this character I always played called Miss Zigizigi. I picked that up when I was in the United States.
“So I’ve my feminine ways and sometimes I can get confusing if you really don’t know who I am. A lot of people have said I am gay.
“I could be but I am not. Because if I was gay I will be carrying my placards going around and fighting for gay rights.”
