Nigerian musician, Oxlade, recently disclosed a distressing ordeal he endured, revealing that he was subjected to a two-year-long blackmail scheme involving private videos before they were ultimately leaked online.
The acclaimed artist lamented that the scandal resulted in the loss of lucrative endorsement deals amounting to a staggering N400 million.
Speaking candidly to entertainment journalist Joey Akan, Oxlade bravely confirmed the authenticity of the videos while shedding light on the toll it took on his personal life.
He expressed relief at ceasing payments to the blackmailer, but shared how the ordeal deeply affected his family dynamics, recounting his grandmother’s anguish and fear. The psychological toll led him into a dark period, prompting him to seek rehabilitation in the UK.
