Popular Nigerian social media influencer Korra Obidi recently discussed the advantages of being single in the entertainment industry.
During an interview on the “Heroes Diary” show, the single mother of two explained that marriage often limits opportunities in the entertainment field.
She pointed out that while initial support and excitement surround married entertainers with children, their relevance tends to diminish over time.
This leads to fewer show invitations and movie roles. However, upon becoming single again, public sympathy and interest tend to resurface.
Korra Obidi concluded that being single offers the best prospects for sustained success in the entertainment industry.

“One thing about we humans is that when somebody’s married. I don’t know you people don’t like the person anymore. You kind of like go ‘ahh happy married life’, and then ‘she can’t be on my show,’ ‘she can’t be in my movie’. But now I’m single… I’m getting booked back to back, so it’s good for me. I think being single is good in the industry.”
