Isaac Oyedepo, son of Bishop David Oyedepo, founder of Living Faith Church, recently shared his personal battle with pornography in a podcast appearance.
Reflecting on his experience, Isaac said,
“My confessions are meant to help others. I struggled with pornography before. I remember how it started—we traveled to a country, and I was alone in a room. I switched on the TV, and that’s where it began.”
“But God brought me out of it very quickly. Many people still struggle with it. If someone who had struggled with it had come up to me and showed me how to get out, I would have overcome it faster,” he admitted.
He highlighted the importance of open discussions about such issues, particularly within the church community.
“I think people feel there are things we shouldn’t talk about, but today there are some pastors and church members still struggling with it. You may be anointed, seeing signs and wonders, but that does not mean you are standing right.”
“There is an old saying that if it’s working, it means you are standing right, but I found out that it’s not always the case. There were times I realized I wasn’t right, but grace and mercy found me.”
“For the sake of someone genuine in the congregation, God can bypass you to reach them; this is my confession.”
Isaac addressed the misconception that spiritual success equates to personal righteousness. He concluded with a message of hope and the importance of genuine faith.
