On Wednesday morning, June 12, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu experienced a minor slip while getting onto the parade vehicle at Eagles Square, Abuja.
The incident quickly became a topic of humor on social media, with many making fun of the president’s fall.
In response to the jokes, President Tinubu addressed the incident by saying that his fall was a sign of respect for Nigeria’s 25 years of democracy.
He humorously referred to the fall as his ‘swagger,’ emphasizing his commitment and pride in the nation’s democratic journey.
In his words:
‘’Early this morning I had a swagger and it is on the social media. They are confused whether I was doing Buga or doing Babariga. but it is a day to celebrate democracy while doing dobale (prostration)for the day. I am a traditionally Yoruba boy, I did my dobale (prostration)”
