A viral video circulating on social media captures a Nigerian individual challenging the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to arrest guests at an Arewa wedding who were filmed showering Naira notes.
The wedding appears to be an extravagant occasion, with the guests indulging in extravagant displays of wealth.
The dare comes in the wake of previous incidents where individuals faced legal consequences for mishandling Naira currency.
Notably, Bobrisky served a six-month jail term for Naira abuse, while Cubana Chief Priest was granted a N10 million bail for Naira mutilation charges.
The challenger on social media suggests that if the EFCC truly wants to demonstrate its impartiality, it should not hesitate to take action against wealthy northerners’ offspring at the Arewa wedding.
The X user identified as Will E. wrote; “Hello @officialEFCC , I triple dare you guys to go after this ones for spraying the Naira. Like, if dem born una papa well, go after this ones, we want to check something.”
