Teni Oluwo, widely known as Style Territory, has passed away. The sad news was confirmed by her sister, Adetoke Oluwo, on Instagram. While the exact cause of Teni’s death remains undisclosed, it is known that she left us on June 3rd.
In a deeply emotional post, Adetoke shared her grief and the significant impact Teni had on her life. She described Teni as her pillar of strength and expressed her disbelief and sorrow over the loss of her beloved sister.
“Omoteniola, you’ve really done it this time. I always thought I was strong, but it turns out you were my strength. My rock. How can I speak about you in the past tense? You must be out of your mind to think you can leave me like this, especially this year,” Adetoke wrote.
“Why didn’t you leave when we were struggling and hustling in Lagos? I could have understood that. But why now, when you should be enjoying your life? What about all the trips we planned and our shared dreams? You were the reason I worked so hard, to make you proud and take care of you like my first child. I know you were always proud of me.
“I’ve heard about grief, but Teni, you should have waited for me to come back and see you. You thought I couldn’t handle it, but Teni, my heart is shattered. I can’t bear this. I can’t feel my heart. You promised to be with me forever. You said you had my back for life. How dare you leave now?
“At just 35 years old. You must be out of your mind. Who will guide me through life? Who will preach to me? You know I only listen to you. No wonder your last words to me were ‘never respond in fear’. Temi, I can’t keep that promise. Better pick your call. I know you don’t like calls, but at least message me back and tell me this is a joke, that you’re just testing my pain. Teni, my heart can’t take this. I’m not strong.
“One thing I know for sure is that you changed my life. You came into this world to change my life completely. I know you wouldn’t want me to cry anymore. I don’t even have tears left now. I just have questions. I love you forever, Omoteniola, and no one will ever take your place in my heart.”
