Lauretta Onochie, the former chairman of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) governing board has blasted Peter Obi, the Labour Party presidential candidate saying that he will never become president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
On Wednesday, following the controversy surrounding president Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s academic record at the Chicago State University, Peter Obi had asked him to disclose his true academic records to Nigerians.
In a response to the Labour Party’s presidential candidate’s speech, Onochie Lauretta, the former NDDC board chairman had said “Go home, Peter,” in a string of tweets published via her profile on X (formerly Twitter). The great nation of ours will never name you president. You don’t deserve to be the leader of our country, aside from the fact that you finished far behind. Your character and mannerisms are not what a diverse country like Nigeria needs to lead. “.
She mentioned that the southeast was turned into a war zone when overseen by Peter Obi as the governor of Anambra.
She said “Anambra, you did not succeed. The South-east has turned into a war zone right under your nose, and you can’t even lead it. A thriving economy based on labour-intensive work was destroyed. People lose their lives and their property. Put aside your desperation. Your goals are higher than you merit. It is not going to happen. “
She called Obi’s statement regarding Tinubu’s educational record “the most idiotic request” and dreadly criticised it.
Additionally she said
“Dear Peter Obi, You have shamelessly just gone on national TV to call on the President of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to reveal his identity to Nigerians and the world.
“This is the most idiotic request, Nigerians have had the misfortune of hearing from one, whose advisers are people with mental health issues.
“How can you allow yourself to be used to question the identity of a man, who has been in the limelight since his youth?” she asked.
The tweets read further, “How can you come low to the level of your gullible followers to begin this late in the day, to question the identity of a man who was checked by our security operatives and cleared twice to govern the most successful and cosmopolitan state in Nigeria, Lagos?
“If you can come on national TV to question the identity of a man who was cleared by all our security operatives to become a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, that’s enough justification and validation for your resounding rejection at the polls in 2023.”
“Finally, you want to know our president’s true identity. Well, his real name is, Nemesis Jupiter. His father Karma, is the King of Jupiter who married Nemesis’ mother from Mars. When Mr. President was 25 years old, his family came from Jupiter to swim at the bar beach in Lagos. They left him at the bar beach to fend for himself. So at 25, he did not go to primary, secondary or any tertiary institution. I hope you’re happy now.
“Just go home, Peter. Put your feet up and enjoy your retirement and grandchildren as I’m doing.”
Leaving the space after pouring her discontent for the Labour Party’s presidential candidate’s speech, Onochie advised him to go home and enjoy the bliss of his family and grandchildren just as she has set as an example for him.
