Nigerian rapper, activist, and actor Falz the Bahd Guy has expressed how the ongoing nationwide strike by the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) is affecting him personally.
The strike, which commenced on June 3, has halted government operations and disrupted the daily lives of many Nigerians.
Falz, who was in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State for a charity football match organized by Super Eagles player Troost Ekong, encountered unexpected travel complications when he learned that the Lagos airport was closed due to the strike.
Although he is currently stuck in the South-South region, far from his business interests in Lagos, Falz has taken the disruptions in stride.
In his support for the NLC’s strike, Falz emphasized the validity of their demands, which include increasing the minimum wage from ₦30,000 to ₦494,000.
He passionately criticized the government in his dialect, labeling them as irresponsible and underscoring his frustration with their handling of workers’ welfare.
