In a somber announcement made in Owerri, the Ex-Deputy Governor, Eze Madumere, is mourning the loss of his revered mother, Ugoeze Marlinda Chikanele Ulunma Madumere, who peacefully departed at the age of 83 years.
The news was conveyed to the press on Sunday by Chief Vincent Oparaji, the palace Secretary of Agunechemba Ezi-Mbieri Ancient Kingdom. According to the statement, Ugoeze Marlinda Chikanele Ulunma Madumere passed away during a routine medical checkup.
“The Royal Family of HRH Eze Henry Anoruo Madumere, JP of Achi, Ezi-Mbieri, Mbaitoli LGA, Imo State, announces the passing on of our Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother,” the statement reads. “Few days ago, on a visit to the hospital for her regular medical checkup, she suffered a relapse and could not be revived.”
The family, in a humble request, urged the public to remember the Madumere Royal family in prayers for the peaceful repose of the soul of their dear mother.
Ugoeze Marlinda Chikanele Ulunma, known as the Matriarch and Ugoeze of HRH Eze Henry Anoruo Madumere JP, was an integral part of the Ezi-Mbieri Ancient Kingdom.
