The military authorities have transported HRM Clement Ikolo, the traditional ruler of Ewu Kingdom in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State, to Abuja after he surrendered himself.
Ikolo turned himself in after being declared wanted by the military in connection with the killing of 17 soldiers in the Okuama Community.
Sources revealed that following his surrender, Ikolo was extensively questioned by the military before being escorted to Asaba International Airport by a team led by the Commanding Officer of the 63 Brigade Nigeria Army in Asaba.
Before his surrender, the monarch had attempted to defend himself in an interview, asserting that he had no involvement in inciting violence, citing his personal beliefs as a Catholic and his commitment to peace.
