In a courtroom scene presided over by Justice Kehinde Ogundare of the Federal High Court in Lagos, Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, entered a plea of not guilty to charges of Naira abuse.
The allegations stemmed from purportedly spraying and tampering with Naira notes at a social event, contravening the Central Bank Act of 2007, as asserted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
As the legal proceedings unfold, Cubana Chief Priest maintains his innocence, and the judicial process continues to navigate the intricacies of the case.
Following his plea, Justice Ogundare granted Cubana Chief Priest bail, setting the amount at N10 million. The conditions of bail stipulated the provision of two sureties who must match the bail sum.
