The Nigeria Centre for disease control has warned sternly that there is no available treatment for the CoronaVirus, the recent disease outbreak in China.

The deadly Disease which has basically led to the lockdown of major cities in China, like Wuhan, is a major concern to Chinese Government and the World Health Organisation.
The Nigeria Centre for disease control (NCDC) a government agency with the responsibility of ensuring that there is adequate prevention and control of any form of communicable diseases in Nigeria, on Wednesday issued a Public advisory Statement informing the public on the deadly Coronavirus and the need to be wary and that there is no treatment for the disease itself.
Chinese officials in Wuhan,where the disease originated have stated that the death toll from the disease has risen to 17. The NCDC in conjunction with the World health Organisation is on guard to monitor the disease nationally and globally.
The symptoms of the Coronavirus include Mild to severe respiratory symptoms like Cough and breathing difficulties. There is no treatment for the Novel Coronavirus yet,although the various symptoms can be treated.
The World Health Organisation WHO held its emergency committee meeting yesterday to see If they could declare the outbreak a “Public Health Event of International concern” since the communicable disease has been spreading profusely.
The Nigerian point of entry Officials have been put on alert by the NCDC and the Federal ministry of health to inquire from travellers coming in from China especially from the city Wuhan and around the world. Travellers will be queried on their health status and their travel history.
The global statement on how to avoid the disease is to avoid anyone coughing and Sneezing. People have been told to sneeze into a handkerchief or tissue paper. The basic education is to steer clear of anyone with any form of Respiratory disease,and not to engage in Self Medication.
