The Palestinian telecommunications agency claimed that the phone and internet networks in the confined area of Gaza were unavailable on Wednesday, marking the second time in less than a week.
“To our good people in the beloved country, we are sorry to announce that communications and internet services have been completely cut off in Gaza,” the Palestine Telecommunications Company (Paltel) said on X.

“The incident will be experienced as a total loss of telecommunications by most residents,” it said in a post on X.
This issue was confirmed by an international journalist in Gaza who claimed that he is using an international SIM card hence his ability to receive signals.
According to another journalist in the town of Rafah, only individuals with Egyptian or Israeli line are able to use their mobile phones. The internet networks were totally down last week, but they came up again over the weekend.
Isreali was said to be responsible for the network blockage, this is according to the administration of the militant Palestinian party Hamas. The administration alleges that Israel did that to perpetrate massacres in Palestine.
Also, Jawwal, a Palestinian telecom company, testified of the blackout on Israel’s “heavy bombardment” of the region.
Israel has intensified its mission to “crush” Hamas after it went on a rampage in southern villages, murdering 1,400 people, largely civilians. As a result, Israel has witnessed severe fighting in Gaza in recent days between Israeli ground troops and terrorists.
In retaliation, the region has struck with an unrelenting barrage of artillery and aerial strikes, which according to the health ministry in Gaza, which is under Hamas control, has killed over 8,500 Palestinians, the majority of whom were children and women.
