Nigerian singer Burna Boy is poised to make his film debut in “3 Cold Dishes,” a gripping crime adventure addressing the severe issue of sex trafficking.
The film is produced by Spaceship Films, a company co-founded by Burna Boy and his mother, Bose Ogulu, where he also serves as executive producer.
Directed by Asurf Oluseyi, “3 Cold Dishes” has completed its production phase and is now entering post-production.
The storyline follows the harrowing journey of three sex trafficking victims who, fifteen years after their ordeal, set out to seek justice against their traffickers.
The film features a notable cast including Osas Ighodaro, Wale Ojo, and Ivorian actors Fat Toure and Maud Guerard, as well as Senegalese actors Amelie Mbaye and Mentor Ba.
Set across various locations in Nigeria, the Republic of Benin, Côte d’Ivoire, and Mauritania, the film involved over 200 crew members, reflecting a significant pan-African collaboration.
Director Oluseyi emphasized the film’s critical role in raising awareness about the global issue of sex trafficking. He hinted at a major partnership deal secured to expedite the post-production process and enhance marketing efforts, ensuring the film reaches a broad audience.
