Olawale Oloforo, the Nigerian singer, songwriter, sonic artist, actor and author popularly known as Brymo has slammed some musicians to be fake and unoriginal.
Brymo, during an interview with TVC News made an assertion that Burna Boy the Grammy-winning guru is unoriginal, cheap and fake.
According to Brymo, every song written by Burna Boy is a sample of another artiste’s music, and most of his slogans are stolen.
The ‘Yellow album’ singer, who was perplexed as to how the self-acclaimed giant of Africa got a Grammy for his genre of music, joked that Burna Boy sees himself as the jesus of afrobeats.
He also mentioned that afrobeat as pioneered by Fela Kuti is a style other than just a genre.
Furthering the interview, Brymo claimed that Wizkid, Davido and Burna Boy, are all music thieves who took Fela’s afrobeats and turned it into a new style by just adding S, he said they did not realize how hard it is to work on an original song.
