The manager of TAJ Bank’s branch in Zamfara State, Mansur Kaura, has been kidnapped by bandits. According to a resident of the area, Musa Ibrahim, Kaura was abducted during a raid on his residence in the Rijiyar Gabas area of Gusau, the state capital, around 1 am on Tuesday, May 7, 2024.
Ibrahim explained that the bandits, armed with sophisticated weapons, arrived at the manager’s residence and began firing indiscriminately.
Upon realizing that the residents were taking cover inside their homes, the bandits targeted the bank manager’s house, forcefully breaking in and taking him away.
Despite the manager’s cries for help as he was being abducted, Ibrahim noted that no one dared to intervene, fearing for their own safety.
He lamented that although the manager pleaded for assistance, the risk was too great for anyone to come forward and rescue him.
